After the SAP Application process and shortlisting your resume, the recruitment process starts for your hiring. Here is the complete procedure which you will undergo for being a part of SAP Labs.

Pre-assessments:

To know your skills and capabilities, you will be assessed during the recruiting process. Psychometric Test: It is basically to test your personality type with some tricky questions. So while answering these questions, you need to be careful because if you end up selecting different answers to the same question, your likelihood of hiring may decrease.

General Aptitude: It is to test your aptitude skills which are related to basic topics like time speed & distance, time & work, profit & loss, ratio & proportion, number series, heights, and distances, etc.

Analytical Aptitude: It is to test the analytical skills of the candidates by asking questions on puzzles, syllogisms, binary logic, cubes & dice, analogies, blood relations, etc.

Verbal Ability: This section tests your English grammar, which is essential to work in an MNC. The questions cover reading comprehension, synonyms & antonyms, direct & indirect speech, active & passive voice, para jumbles, error spotting, one-word substitution, spellings, etc.

Computer Skills: The computer skills section covers hardware, software, and languages, and technical knowledge like C, DBMS, and error detection in programs.

Coding sections: It is a descriptive type programming question which you need to answer. Depending on the profile requirement, these questions need to be attempted in some specified languages like C, C++, C#, or Java.

SAP Technical Interviews:

After qualifying for the assessment, you will be called for technical interviews. There are 2-3 rounds of technical interviews which you have to face. To clear the technical rounds, you need to be strong in technical knowledge, especially programming and core areas. You’ll be asked anything related to your job profile. The main topics you have to concentrate on and prepare for the technical interview are Java, OS, programming languages, SQL, Coding, etc. You’ll also be asked to write codes or solve puzzles. HR Interview:

It is the last round, where an HR takes an overview of your background, which involves your education, working, skills, behavior, leadership principles, etc. You will be asked some subjective type questions to check opinions on current affairs and the latest updates, some technical and also asked to create an algorithm based on the data given to you.

The Two-Page Resume: SAP says it is fine to have a 1-page resume if you have 2-3 years of experience. But for higher experience, you must have two or more pages of a resume as there are many projects and experience you can provide related to your education and work. #1 Tip: Technology is constantly evolving with full-on innovation and inventions. So it’s essential to stay up-to-date on the latest breakthroughs in research and tech development. It will be great to discuss some of your ideas of projects, passions, and hobbies that relate to the role you’re interviewing for!

#2 Tip: It may sound off-track, but soft skills are as important as hard skills in the technology space. It is impossible to know everything, but your soft skills can help you find the answers by having good communication and bonding with others.

#3 Tip: SAP likes you to Interview them while they’re interviewing you. Be prepared with some thoughtful questions related to the job role etc.

#4 Tip: Good manners & professional etiquette are never off-style! After finishing the interview, take some time to send a “thank you” e-mail to the talent team and all the interviewers. You can elaborate it by highlighting something special discussed in your interview etc.

#5 Tip: If you know a person working at SAP, reach out to them and ask about the company and its culture working style to get a reality check.

Interview Experience:

Here we share some personal experiences of the candidates who attended the complete SAP recruitment process, which helps you understand the selection criteria in more depth.

Experience 1: Sagar Sharma is sharing his experience of the SAP Labs Recruitment process. Firstly he will be given an assessment of 20 online coding multiple choice questions on different areas like operating systems, Java, Data Structures, and Algorithms. After qualifying the assessment, I will be called for Technical interview 1 in which they only ask two questions, i.e., “In a given string, add all the numbers present in it” and “Find the missing number from the list of the consecutive numbers.” He passed the previous round and again called for Technical Interview 2.

He will be asked four coding questions related to projects, operating systems, and DBMS in this round. Here are the questions “Print all permutations of the string” and other questions are on puzzle and Rubik cube. At last, he has to appear for HR Round where the interviewer asks a general question from resume + What do you know about SAP? and achievements related to sports and coding-related stuff. Experience 2: This experience is shared by Santosh Shaw. In 2018 he attended SAP Scholar Interview, where firstly, he had to take an online assessment with basic MCQ questions related to C programming, DS, Databases, etc. The test covers topics of aptitude, behavioral questions, technical and coding questions. After clearing the online test, he was called for face to face interview round. He is asked to write codes on a blank paper with theoretical answers on DBMS, OS, Networking, and C in the first technical round.

In a second technical interview, he asked to explain the code he had written in the first round. Apart from that interviewer asked questions on DBMS, OS, OOP, Networking, Web Applications. At last, he is called for an HR Interview in which he was mostly asked behavioral questions, SAP Products, and work culture. You can read the whole experience here.
