HP Recruitment Process:

There are 5-6 rounds of interviews that you will go through as the recruitment process of HP. It focuses on technical more, so you’ll be facing 2-3 technical rounds or more if the interviewers are not clear on your performance. The rounds are

  • Written Round
  • Technical Round (Multiple rounds)
  • HR Round

HP Written Test:

This section contains three major areas: General Aptitude Test (Quantitative & Logical Ability), Verbal Ability Test, and Technical Test. The complete test is of 75 minutes, and there will be no negative marking. You can check the pattern given in the below table:

General Aptitude Test: It is a moderate level section having questions based on Quantitative & logical ability. The questions mainly cover algebra, time, speed & distance, arithmetic, probability, cost & selling price, percentage, profit & loss, geometry, etc.

Verbal Ability Test: it is an easy section that consists of comprehension passages, basic grammar usage questions like synonyms, antonyms, paragraph completion, vocabulary, etc.

Technical Test: Technical section involved questions from coding, programming languages, and computer concepts. It is a tough section and requires good preparation. A person whose basics concepts are clear can easily ace this section.

HP Technical Rounds:

Candidates who clear the previous round, i.e., an online test, will be called for Technical Interview. There are multiple technical rounds (at least three) to test your technical knowledge and skills. To ace in this round, you need to be clear with your concepts and basics. You can prepare topics on Data structures and Algorithms, DBMS, OS, Networking, OOPs concepts, and any programming language of your choice. You will be asked to write codes in the interview and also asked to solve puzzles questions.

Pro Tips:

  • Well-Prepare everything you have written on your CV.
  • Don’t try to answer if you don’t know anything about it; you can say, “Sorry I don’t know the answer,” or if you know a bit but do not completely answer, use a phrase like, “I am not much aware of it, but I think it might be related to….”

HR / Managerial Round:

After clearing all the technical rounds, lastly, you will be called for HR Interview Round. It is the easiest round out of all the rounds. To ace this round, you need to be just yourself. HR will observe your Communication skills- listening, understanding, and answering. Also, check your confidence, working attitude, and your interest in working in HP. You will be asked about yourself, family, friends, hobbies, weaknesses, strengths, etc.

Pro Tips:

  • Know about the company and also work on your communication skills.
  • Always ask questions related to your role, interview, and when you’ll expect HP’s reply.
