Apple Application Process:

Phone Screen (up to two)

There will be two standardized phone screening rounds which will be pretty informal 30-minute conversations. Apple Roleplay Exercise: It is the last exercise of Apple Assessment Center and you’ll be given around 20 minutes for the task. You are going to work in a pair and analyze a good set of information and prepare your response. In second part an interviewer will act as a customer and you’ll be dealing him as Apple Employee. You need to show your negotiation skills, teamwork, analytical thinking and customer handling by understanding their requirement.

Onsite Interviews

During the pandemic Apple has not stopped it’s hiring due to coronavirus. It is not-clear whether Apple has started its on-site interviews but surely they are taking interviews virtually.

In this round you’ll face 5-6 back to back technical round interviews for at least 6 hours. These are intense interviews with tough technical questions, situation based questions, coding and puzzles. Lunch is also considered as an Interview where team members of several departments quiz you related to their team.

In Apple Technical Interview candidates will be asked technical questions about algorithm, data structure, operating systems, DBMS, any preferred programming language. You will be asked to write codes on a laptop and whiteboard solve puzzles and show an understanding of system design.

You know that Apple keep it things secretive and hiring process is one of them but still we got some interviews written by anonymous users telling us about the Apple Interview Process. Let’s read their experiences and prepare for your interview.

Experience: The person has applied for Apple’s Build Engineer position through the careers page. After some time he received an email asking for the timeslot to schedule a phone Interview. He had undergone two back to back phone interview rounds using Facetime and each one lasting about 45 minutes. During these interviews they test my basic understanding of OS System and coding questions and it went great. After two weeks, he got an email about onsite interviews.

Interview was held at Apple’s Office where he have to undergo nearly 6 rounds of interviews of 45 minutes each and a lunchtime interview with the team. Those interviews consist of 3 technical interviews, 2 behavioral interviews, and one interview with HOD. In technical questions there is not something out of the blue and mainly questions based on hypothetical technical issues in which he gave his best. After some days he’ll be informed of his result.
